Waste Management Plan

 

SOLID COMBUSTIBLE WASTE

Any ship wishing to deposit combustible waste can have a container placed at the ship’s quay of arrival, provided that the ship has given 24 hours’ prior notification of this.

 

ENGINE ROOM SLOP

Any ship wishing to deposit engine room slop can have a 6m³ tank trailer placed at the quay by the Port of Frederikshavn, provided that the ship has given 24 hours’ prior notification of this request. Connection is available with either an international shore connection or directly to the tank through a hose. The ship is required to be able to pump the slop oil into the tank. Smaller volumes can be deposited in 200 litre drums placed on the quay.

SEWAGE

Sewage can be delivered to the port’s sewage pipeline (see map of receiving facilities) or can be picked up using dredge pump equipment.
