We are happy to welcome June Menne, John Lamp Henriksen and Flemming Berg Christensen as new members of the board at Port of Frederikshavn.
The town council of Frederikshavn designated three new members for the board at Port of Frederikshavn. June Menne, John Lamp Henriksen and Flemming Berg Christensen joined the board per January 1, 2022, and the designation is valid for a period of 4 years. The new board members replace Jytte Høyrup, Anders Brandt Sørensen and Kenneth Hansen.
Chairman Bo Uggerhøj expresses great gratitude for a good and constructive cooperation with Jytte Høyrup, Anders Brandt Sørensen and Kenneth Hansen. He concurrently welcomes June Menne, John Lamp Henriksen and Flemming Berg Christensen and looks forward to their future cooperation.
June Menne, member of town council:
- I have a vocational background. Through my entire working life, I have worked at the port. I started at I.A Larsen and was later skilled at Frederikshavn Yard/Danyard. I have also worked several years at Orskov and today I work at Bjerrefisk. My knowledge about the port comes from the engine room, and I know the importance of securing the future, which is also my expectation to the work with the board at Port of Frederikshavn.
John Lamp Henriksen, member of town council:
- I am station manager at the police station in Hjørring, however until 2021 I was station manager for 9 years at the police station in Frederikshavn. During the last 17 years I have been self-employed and have thereby also been close to the business community in the municipality of Frederikshavn. Port of Frederikshavn is particularly important to Frederikshavn, the municipality of Frederikshavn and to all North Jutland. It has been so for many years, and this is how it must remain through ongoing development for the benefit of the entire municipality. I look forward to being a little part of this and to be able to give a positive contribution to an amazing business and ferry harbour.
Flemming Berg Christensen, employee representative
- I work at Port of Frederikshavn in Port Service, we handle the maintenance of the port areas and grant service to the port’s customers. It will be interesting to follow the ongoing development at the port and in the world around us. New ways of using or remaking our current energy, as well as the exploitation of the resources we have, to prevent them from wasting. I look forward to following the entire process – from the visions to carrying them out on the quays and breakwaters for Port of Frederikshavn to continue being part of the future.
