WORK ON SOUTHERN BREAKWATER HEAD IS STARTED

03/05/2016

On Monday, May 9, 2016 the construction of the southern breakwater head is started, where large pipes are placed deeply into the sea bed.

The submersion of the pipes is carried out by means of vibration – a method, which does not cause noise in the same way as ramming, where the sheet piling is hammered into place. We therefore do not expect any noise nuisance of significance.

The submersion of the pipes is expected to take approximately one month, depending on the weather.
